LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 26, 2017) — Join the University of Kentucky Confucius Institute as it transports Central Kentuckians to the Far East for a day of Chinese arts and culture all in beautiful downtown Lexington. The institute’s third Global Confucius Institute Day will run 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in Triangle Park. This event is free and open to the public.
Visitors to UK’s Global Confucius Institute Day will have the opportunity to try Chinese calligraphy; try on traditional Chinese costumes; taste authentic Chinese cuisine; demonstrate their prowess in a chopsticks skill competition; and enjoy a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. In addition, participants will be able to experience Tai Chi and Kung Fu demonstrations as well as traditional Chinese musical performances.
