Jarrett's Joy Cart to Hold 20th Anniversary Gala

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 29, 2018) – Jarrett's Joy Cart, a non-profit organization that provides toys to patients at Kentucky Children's Hospital, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a gala at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky on April 19, 2019.

The Joy Cart was started in 1999 by Jarrett Mynear, a pediatric oncology patient who battled cancer for years. Looking for a way to help his fellow patients cope with being in the hospital, and to pay forward all the help he received, Jarrett collected toys to give to other patients. Now in its 20th year, on what would have been Jarrett's 30th birthday, the Joy Cart will host a fundraising event to support the cart, the annual Holiday Store, as well as educational materials and events for patients.
