LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 14, 2017) The UK Alumni Association plans a pep rally and game watch party in Nashville, Tennessee, in conjunction with the University of Kentucky football team’s appearance in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl on Friday, Dec. 29.

From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. CST Friday, join the UK Alumni Association and Greater Nashville UK Alumni Club for a pregame party and pep rally at the Wildhorse Saloon, 120 2nd Ave., in Nashville. Come early to watch the UK basketball team take on Louisville at noon CST on the Wildhorse Saloon’s huge 20-foot video screens.

The UK Pep Band and UK Cheerleaders are scheduled to make a special appearance and help get everyone fired up for the Music City Bowl matchup against Northwestern University at 3:30 p.m. CST, at nearby Nissan Stadium. The cost for the pregame party and pep rally is $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. The first 600 people through the door will get a commemorative 2017 UK Music City Bowl blinking button.

There will be a postgame concert 8-9:30 p.m., at Broadway and 1st Avenue, as a proper Music City send-off and thank you.

On Thursday, Dec. 28, the Fan Zone on Broadway events are from noon-9 p.m. From 5-8 p.m. there will be a Battle of the Bands, where bands from each school will march down Broadway and perform. After the bands perform, there will be a concert on 1st Avenue.
