Race For A Cause This Weekend

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 4, 2016)  The University of Kentucky Pre-Med Activities Council will be hosting a Where Happiness Inspires Hope 5K race beginning 10 a.m. Sunday, March 6, at Coldstream Park. All runners and walkers are invited to participate!

The 5K race will take place at Coldstream Park located at 1875 Newtown Pike in Lexington. The race costs $30 per runner and registration ends 11:59 PM Saturday, March 5.

The Pre-Med Activities Council strives to prepare undergraduate pre-medical students to apply to medical school and thrive upon matriculation. The council will be traveling to Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee, Florida, in May. Give Kids The World Village is a 79-acre, nonprofit "storybook" resort located near central Florida’s most beloved attractions, where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free fantasy vacations. The Pre-Med Activities Council is fundraising to provide scholarships for as many pre-medical students to go as possible, as well as fulfill the wish list provided by Give Kids The World to directly impact the lives of the children and their families.
