Register Now for DanceBlue Staff and Faculty Mini-Marathon

DanceBlue Mini Marathon for UK faculty and staff.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 7, 2017) — The deadline to register for the University of Kentucky second annual DanceBlue UK Staff and Faculty Mini-Marathon at the Hilary J. Boone Center is Friday, Feb. 10.

All those attending the mini-marathon on Feb. 17, whether as a dancer, supporter or observer, must make their reservation before Friday, Feb. 10, by calling the Hilary J. Boone Center.

All attendees on Feb. 17 will be charged for the lunch buffet. The $12 charge for lunch is to be paid at the door, with all proceeds going to DanceBlue. Call 859-257-1133 or email peg.connery@uky.edu, if necessary.

Every dancer who is registered with a team will pay $25 each to dance. Team coordinators are encouraged to handle these funds by one of the following methods:

  • Collect team members’ money in advance and pay for everyone on the team by taking donations to the Staff Senate office.
  • Take donations to the ticket office in Bowman’s Den.
  • Take donations to the DanceBlue UK Staff and Faculty Mini-Marathon. The Boone Center recommends designating the coordinator to turn in donations/lunch charges for everyone to expedite check-in.

Cash is always acceptable, and checks are to be made payable to DanceBlue. If donating cash, please have correct change. You may raise money up to the day of the mini.

The DanceBlue UK Staff and Faculty Mini-Marathon will begin promptly at 11a.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Visitors are welcome.

Activities include nearly non-stop dancing, delicious food, stories, DanceBluetique and the reveal. One hardworking team will be awarded Best Spirit based on the most money raised. The prize will be a special event hosted by President Eli Capilouto.
