LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 24, 2025) – University of Kentucky students enrolled in the College of Communication and Information’s Department of Integrated Strategic Communication (ISC) event planning class, in partnership with United Talent and United Events, will host the third annual vendor fair, “United We Shop: Kentucky Vendors in Support of Small Business.”

The event will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at United Talent, 101 Kaden Lane in Georgetown, Kentucky. Nearly 50 local businesses will showcase Kentucky-made products and services. This vendor fair allows small businesses to connect with the community through in-person engagement and frequent promotion.

In addition to a variety of local vendors, the event will feature unique items for sale, a food truck and family-friendly activities. Fully Loaded, a food truck offering a wide selection of burgers, fries and wings, will be at the fair. Vendor booths will be set up around the indoor concourse, allowing guests to shop and enjoy the event.

“Last year's vendor fair, organized by university students, was a huge hit in our community,” said Brian Harris, owner of United Events. “We’re looking forward to an even bigger and better event this year, with an expanded roster of Kentucky-area vendors.”

The United Events Vendor Fair is now accepting applications from vendors interested in securing a spot in the marketplace. The event is geared toward artisans, boutique owners, food vendors and service providers.

“The purpose of this partnership and growing annual event is to invest in our future leaders by providing them with hands-on experience while also creating a valuable platform for area businesses,” Harris said. “We aim to raise awareness about these Kentucky vendors, boost their success and drive economic growth for both the businesses and our community.”

“United We Shop” is free and open to the public.
