UK Alumni Career Services to host semiretirement in-person series

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 14, 2025) — University of Kentucky Alumni Career Services is pleased to announce “Preparing for Semiretirement: Passion, Purpose & the Practical,” a two-part, in-person series designed to help individuals plan for a fulfilling next chapter.  

The sessions will be 6-8 p.m. ET Thursday, Feb. 20, and Thursday, March 6, at the Stuckert Career Center, 408 Rose St. in Lexington. Participants will explore the latest trends in longevity, retirement and encore careers whether they’re considering part-time work, volunteerism or simply seeking a more purposeful lifestyle.  

Through expert guidance and interactive discussions, attendees will gain the inspiration, clarity and practical tools needed to navigate semiretirement successfully. The series will also help participants set meaningful goals and take actionable steps toward their ideal future. 

The cost for the series is $50, which includes a light dinner and course materials. Attendees can sign up here.
