UK Graham Office to host Veterans Day resume workshop for service members
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2025) — This Veterans Day, the University of Kentucky Graham Office of Career Management in the Gatton College of Business and Economics invites veteran and active-duty service members at UK to a special resume workshop designed to help them translate military experience into language that resonates with civilian employers.
Hosted in partnership with Cintas and its Valor Business Resource Group, the session will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Room 307 (Woodward Hall) of the Gatton College of Business and Economics. Lunch will be provided.
Participants will gain practical strategies for:
- Highlighting transferable skills
- Tailoring resumes to specific job postings
- Showcasing leadership, discipline and expertise gained through service
Veteran professionals from Cintas’ Valor group will also share their experiences transitioning to civilian careers and offer one-on-one guidance to help students confidently position their military backgrounds for future opportunities.
