UK marks Constitution Day with campus events

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 15, 2025) — The University of Kentucky will honor Constitution Day this week with activities highlighting the nation’s founding document.
The J. David Rosenberg College of Law Library will feature a special book display and provide pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution. In addition, faculty, staff and students will gather on the steps of the Rosenberg Law building to read provisions of the Constitution aloud — a tradition the college has carried out in past years inside the building’s commons area.
All are invited to join in the observance, which will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17.
That same day, across campus at the Gatton Student Center, students are also encouraged to stop by “Your Constitution, Your Voice!,” 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Hosted by the UK Student Government Association and Family and Civic Engagement, this tabling event will offer information about the Constitution, voting registration processes and more.
These events are open to the campus community and the public.
As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
