LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 10, 2025) — The third annual “United We Shop” vendor fair is less than one week away. In partnership with United Talent and United Events, University of Kentucky students in the College of Communication and Information’s Department of Integrated Strategic Communication (ISC) event planning class are anticipating the event to be bigger and better than ever.

“United We Shop” will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at United Talent, 101 Kaden Lane, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Attendees can expect an exciting day of shopping, local goods and fantastic eats. The vendor fair will highlight 40 Kentucky small businesses — a record for the event — offering a variety of unique products, food and services.

In addition to shopping, attendees can enjoy a selection of tasty burgers, fries and wings from the Fully Loaded food truck. Visitors will also have a chance to meet some members of the Lexington Legends minor leage baseball team. There will be various family-friendly activities for all ages.

Organizers said “United We Shop” has something for everyone — local art, unique jewelry and tasty treats — and is a good opportunity to support local businesses and connect with the community.

“I’m beyond excited to see ‘United We Shop’ come to life after all the hard work we’ve put in,” said student Emma Karpowich, vendor relations team captain. “It’s been such a rewarding experience, and I have gained so much knowledge in the field of event planning along the way. Working closely with our amazing vendors has shown me just how much passion and creativity they bring to the state of Kentucky and this community. I can’t wait for everyone to join us in Georgetown and support these incredible local businesses. It’s going to be a day full of fun, and I truly hope to see you there.”

Among the 40 vendors are:

  • Tipsy Tulip Boutique
  • Bo’s Tractor Works
  • Christian Coffee Company
  • The Wild Huckleberry Boutique
  • Fresh Off The Hook
  • Spellbook Snacks
  • Yayabs Dog Boutique
  • Craft Queens
  • Arbonne Health/Wellness Products
  • J&J Screen Printing of KY
  • Brick Mobile LLC

“We’re thrilled to bring ‘United We Shop’ to Central Kentucky, showcasing over 40 incredible small businesses, the Lexington Legends and delicious gourmet burgers for a day of family fun," said Brian Harris of United Talent/United Events. “I’m especially grateful for the hard work and dedication of the UK Department of Integrated Strategic Communication’s event planning students, who have helped recruit some truly outstanding vendors from across the region. It’s inspiring to see many entrepreneurs from Georgetown and Scott County, Lexington, Richmond, Nicholasville and beyond come together to celebrate and support local businesses. We can’t wait to welcome everyone on April 12.”

“United We Shop” is free and open to the public.
