LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 20, 2019) — The University of Kentucky Women’s Forum invites the campus and Lexington community to a free showing of the documentary "Embrace" at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Gatton Student Center's Worsham Cinema.  "Embrace" explores the issue of body image. See the film trailer here: https://bodyimagemovement.com/embrace/about-the-film/.

Body Image issues are becoming more and more prevalent in today’s society, due in part to changing and increasing relationships with media.  The documentary seeks to explore this phenomenon with an undertone of acceptance and love of oneself.

"The University of Kentucky Women’s Forum believes it is important to bring a message of awareness and acceptance to our campus and Lexington community," said Laura Mancuso, chair of the UK Women's Forum. "Therefore, WF has sponsored the event so that anyone may watch for free."
