Free Memory Screenings Available to the Community

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 28, 2011) — The University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging will offer free memory screenings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the UK HealthCare Polk-Dalton Clinic.
The 30-minute screenings are designed to evaluate participants for signs of cognitive impairment or illnesses including Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. All screenings are conducted by trained personnel in a confidential environment. If problems with memory are found, participants will be given advice for how to seek further care.
The Polk-Dalton Clinic is located at 217 Elm Tree Lane in Lexington. Free parking is available, and a LexTran bus stop is located nearby.
