LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 12, 2013) − The Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (KPTA), in partnership with RehabCare®, has announced its 2013 KPTA All-Academic Team which includes three members from the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Students enrolled in a DPT program or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program who are members of the KPTA are eligible for the award. The UK students selected for the honor are: Sarah Beth Martin, Lexington UK DPT Program, Kirby Mayer, Hazard, UK DPT Program, and Avery T. Schroyer, Lexington, UK DPT Program. The UK members were among nine students selected for the honor. In addition to UK, two other institutions placed more than one student on the 2013 All-Academic Team - the Somerset Community PTA Program and West Kentucky Community and Technical College PTA Program each placed two members.

Members of the KPTA All-Academic Team will be recognized at the KPTA Fall Conference in Lexington Kentucky and will receive cash scholarships from RehabCare®.  In all, 38 students have been recognized through the program since its inception in 2010.
