KCH Holds Dream Factory Valentine's Day Party

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 10, 2010) − Young patients at Kentucky Children's Hospital will enjoy a Valentine's party from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Feb. 11, given by the Lexington Dream Factory.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for the Lexington Dream Factory to share an afternoon with so many children,” said Kathy Ishmael, president of the Lexington Dream Factory.  “Valentine’s Day is a fun holiday and a great one to share with a terrific group of kids.”

The Lexington Dream Factory fulfills dreams of children with critical and severe chronic conditions. They rely on volunteer efforts in its operations and in fulfilling dreams.  Because of this, 90 percent of the funds raised go directly to fulfilling dreams.

"We appreciate all the fun parties the Dream Factory has for our children at Kentucky Children's Hospital," said Dr. Tim Bricker, physician-in-chief of Kentucky Children's Hospital. "And we also appreciate their efforts in making children's dreams come true."

Volunteers from DanceBlue will join the Dream Factory at the party to celebrate with the patients. DanceBlue raises funds for the Kentucky Children's Hospital pediatric oncology clinic.
