Free Info Session for MS Patients and Caregivers

LEXINGTON, KY. (May 27, 2011) — A multiple sclerosis patient and caregiver information session, sponsored by UK HealthCare and the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute, will be held Saturday, June 11, in the auditorium of the William T. Young Library, 401 Hilltop Ave., on the University of Kentucky campus. Registration begins at 2 p.m., with the panel discussion and Q&A session running from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

During the panel discussion, nationally renowned multiple sclerosis (MS) experts will discuss and answer questions regarding: diagnosis and misdiagnosis of MS, neuromyelitis optica and autoimmune aquaporinopathies, and future MS therapies.

Experts will include Dr. Joseph Berger of UK HealthCare, Dr. Douglas Goodin of the University of California - San Francisco, Dr. Douglas Jeffery of Bowman Gray College of Medicine and Dr. Kottil Rammohan of Ohio State University.

The MS patient and caregiver session is free of charge, however participants are required to register by calling 1-800-333-8874.

Free parking is available in the parking structure on Hilltop Ave., adjacent to the William T. Young Library.
