LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 1, 2021) — Deciding to make cosmetic enhancements to the face or body is a personal decision that cannot be made lightly. UK Healthcare is making this experience as stress-free as possible with the opening of the new location of the Aesthetics Center at the Turfland campus.

UK HealthCare Aesthetics Center is Lexington’s premier location for aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery and nonsurgical treatments. The Aesthetics Center treats patients with concerns from enhancing features to surgical options for counteracting the physical results of aging, childbirth, weight loss or a medical condition. The skilled team of cosmetic surgeons, nurses and aestheticians at UK HealthCare Aesthetics Center provide solutions that match the patient’s goals.

“This new center will become the destination for central Kentuckians desiring to improve or enhance their look,” said Dr. David Drake, co-director for the Aesthetics Center.

The new location offers a wide array of both nonsurgical and surgical cosmetic procedure options. Some of the services offered include Botox treatments, dermal fillers and lip reshaping, as well as surgical procedures such as body contouring, face lift and fat removal surgery.

The Aesthetics Center is located on the second floor in the UK Healthcare Turfland campus at 2195 Harrodsburg Road in Lexington. The campus hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. TeleCare appointments are also available.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
