Webinar Focuses on Saving Lives Through Lung Cancer Screening

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 2, 2017) – The Kentucky LEADS Collaborative (Lung Cancer Education, Awareness, Detection, and Survivorship) will present a webinar on March 8, titled Lung Cancer Screening: How to Save 712 Kentuckians This Year! The webinar will focus on low-dose lung cancer screening, including patient eligibility and conducting shared decision making. 

The statewide webinar, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. EST, will feature a presentation by Dr. Anthony Weaver, assistant dean of the Rural Physician Leadership Program at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, who will discuss a host of issues related to low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) lung cancer screening in Kentucky. Webinar participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of Weaver and screening policy expert Angela Criswell of Lung Cancer Alliance. Full details are available here

The webinar is a CME/CE offering of Kentucky LEADS Collaborative at the University of Louisville. A $100 Amazon gift card will be sent to the first 100 eligible Kentucky providers who participate and complete a registration survey and a post-event survey.
