UPDATED MONDAY, MARCH 4, 4:30 P.M. -- University Officials Continue Working on Payroll Glitch

UPDATED, TUESDAY, MARCH 4, 4:30 P.M.

Below is the latest information regarding the payroll issue:

Status of Posting

As of Tuesday, March 4, 100 percent of employee pay had been posted by banks and financial institutions. We appreciate your patience throughout this process as we've worked diligently with banks and financial institutions to rectify this situation.

Call Center and assistance

Our call center number -- 257-9254 -- is still operational should you have questions or need assistance. Again, we appreciate your willingness to work with us as we attempt to resolve the issues that have arisen since Friday.

Overdrafts and related late fees

Although we’ve been notified that some financial institutions will waive the fees associated with the payroll delay, not all financial institutions will do so.

Please be assured that the University of Kentucky will reimburse employees for any overdraft, non-sufficient funds, and late fees incurred. We began processing reimbursement requests today and will continue that process throughout the week.

Please complete the form at the following link and submit according to the directions on the form. Click here.

You may also obtain the form and assistance in completing the form by contacting any of the following offices:

UK Accounts Payable 257-5440

UKHC Payroll Office 323-5721

Impact on credit score

Finally, if there are concerns or questions that arise about employee credit scores, you can print out and present the PNC Bank error letter at this link. Click here.

Remember, the University is reimbursing you for those fees with appropriate documentation.

Companies may waive any late payment or unpaid/return check fees assessed. If not, the University of Kentucky will reimburse employees for any such fees assessed. In most instances, a payment will not be reported to a credit-reporting agency unless it is unpaid for more than 30 days.

Thanks again for your patience and commitment to our institution during this time. We apologize for any inconveniences or issues that have resulted.
