College of Arts and Sciences' Podcast Features Chinese Studies Program

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 23, 2012) — The College of Arts and Sciences produces podcasts that demonstrate work being done by the faculty and students in the college. Each week, UKNow will highlight a podcast. This week focuses on the UK Chinese Studies program.

Since 2010, the UK Chinese Studies program has taken groups of students to Shanghai University for a six-credit summer conversational Chinese course. Liang Luo is a professor of Chinese culture and language, and has accompanied two of these groups to Shanghai.

This summer the group also participated in the Shanghai University & UK Student Summit, part of the programming at the American Studies Center at Shanghai University.
