Construction Impacts Traffic on University Drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2009) -- Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 22, construction will impact the southbound lane of University Drive between Complex and Hospital Drives. Crews will be pulling wire for utility transmission line work. The project is in support of the Patient Care Facility.

Traffic flow will be shifted to accommodate the work, so that two-way traffic can continue through the affected area. Motorists are advised to allow extra time in their daily commute.

The project is scheduled to last until Thursday, Sept. 24. However, as always, construction is weather-dependent and delays are possible.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
