Olmert Visit To Affect Parking
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 13, 2009) -- Israel's former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will visit the University of Kentucky Wednesday, Oct. 14. For security reasons in conjunction with his visit, the large Student Center employee parking lot will be closed from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, except for vehicles displaying UK disability permits. The Singletary Center employee parking lot will be closed from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday. Parking at the accessible parking spaces adjacent to the Fine Arts Building on Patterson Drive will also be prohibited. All cars must be removed from these areas. Cars not moved by 5 a.m. Wednesday may be impounded.
Employees with valid E parking permits may park in another E lot. Nearby E lots include the small Student Center E lot, the Martin Luther King Boulevard E lot, and Parking Structure #5, next to Kennedy Book Store on South Limestone. Employees and students with disability permits may park in the Large Student Center Lot.
Employees should allow extra time in arriving to work.
