Student Center 75th Anniversary Finale Picnic May 17

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 12, 2014) — The University of Kentucky community is invited to join the festivities of the Student Center's 75th Anniversary Finale Picnic Saturday, May 17, on the Main Lawn.  In addition to food, attendees can enjoy music, games, hot air balloons (weather permitting), fireworks and more at this grand finale of the Student Center's 75th anniversary year celebration.

Tours of the Student Center begin at 5:30 p.m.; the picnic gets underway at 6:30 p.m.; and a fireworks gala starts at 9 p.m.

The picnic buffet includes Kentucky Proud beef, chicken and roasted vegetable kabobs, pasta salad, potato salad, assorted pinwheels, fresh fruit, cake and drinks. Tables and chairs will be set up on the lawn, and people are welcome to bring their blankets as well.

Other highlights include: a jazz band; two hot air balloons; digital photo booth with props; The Tall Man making balloon animals; and corn hole games.  The first 75 guests will receive a set of commemorative 75th Student Center glasses.
