Wildcat Passport Facility Offers Variety of Travel Amenities at New Location

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 26, 2015) — Passport services can be found on campus at a new location. The Wildcat Passport Acceptance Facility, in Room 106 of Bowman’s Den, is a service offered by the Office of Student Involvement (OSI) and now shares space with the OSI Ticket Center, which tickets all major Student Activities Board campus events, collects payments for DanceBlue and Alternative Service Breaks (ASB), and is an official Ticketmaster® outlet.

The Wildcat Passport Acceptance Facility accepts passport applications for the U.S. Department of State for any U.S. citizen planning international travel.

The Ticket Center and Passport Facility are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., and you can apply for passports by appointment Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  To schedule an appointment, call 859-257-2619.

Routine passport processing is four to six weeks, and the facility offers expedited processing of two to three weeks for an additional cost (planning ahead will save money). 

The Wildcat Passport Acceptance Facility also offers the following additional services:

·      Passport photos can be done without an appointment and are also useful for visas and OPT.  ($10 cash or check)

·      ISIC (International Student Identity Card) – This card offers student discounts worldwide.  Visit www.isic.org.  Cards are issued at time of appointment ($25 cash or check, plus photo).
