Calling All Cats! Vote for the 2010 Homecoming Theme

of

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 30, 2010) – In Wildcat Country, any reason to celebrate UK makes spirits rise and there is no bigger Wildcat celebration than Homecoming!  To make this fall’s Homecoming the most personal yet, the Student Activities Board (SAB) wants your input on choosing the theme.

UK's Homecoming is a tradition in the Bluegrass that extends from campus out to the entire community. Hosted by numerous student organizations including SAB, Inner-Greek Programming Assembly, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Center for Community Outreach, Black Student Union and campus partners within the UK Alumni Association and UK Athletics, events during Homecoming week are aimed to bring alumni, current UK stuents and future Wildcats together to honor all that it means to be UK citizen.

Events for the upcoming Homecoming week include the Homecoming football game, Greek God and Goddess competition, the Homecoming Parade, NPHC Step Show, the annual Dance Blue 5K, the Mo Betta Basketball Tournament and a new tradition—a major Homecoming concert.

All the events center themselves around a common theme. Past themes include Lex Vegas, Cats Go to Hollywood and CATopoly.  This year, there are three possible Homecoming themes and SAB needs your help in deciding which will be the big winner!  To check out the themes and cast your vote, click here.

UK's annual homecoming celebration is scheduled for Oct. 16-23, 2010.

SAB hosts tons of events all year long. Become a fan of UK Student Activities Board on Facebook, follow us on Twitter at @UKSAB and check out our website www.uksab.org.
