LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 1, 2020) — With University of Kentucky now offering in-session classes again, the university continues to field questions related to specific elements of the campus restart plan. Listed below are answers to some of the questions most commonly asked by university faculty and staff.

Q: What are the campus canopies?

A: UK has established several new campus canopies — covered outdoor spaces that support community while promoting physical distancing and being outdoors. The canopies will create opportunities and spaces to socialize, dine, study and participate in approved outdoor events.

Each of these outdoor community gathering spaces will be equipped with cleaning stations for sanitizing tables and chairs before use and personal hand sanitization. The certificate of occupancy for each canopy will be clearly displayed along with other important "Healthy Campus" messages about how to "protect, respect and do your part."

Q: Where can I find FAQs specifically related to my role as an instructional faculty member?
