Healthy Restart FAQs Answered Sept. 7 for UK Faculty, Staff and Students

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 7, 2020) — With University of Kentucky now offering in-session classes again, the university continues to field questions related to specific elements of the campus restart plan. Listed below are answers to some of the questions most commonly asked by university faculty and staff.
Q: How can I stay connected to my colleagues while we’re working apart from one another?
A: Human Resources has a podcast from HR Work-Life and an article from HR Health and Wellness with tips on maintaining connection.
Q: Who can I see if I’m having anxiety or other concerns?
A: Therapists with Work+Life Connections employee counseling are available for free, confidential appointments via phone or Zoom.
Phase I and II testing of students by Wild Health ended Aug. 30. As of Sept. 4, UK is reporting 459 current active cases and 358 recovered cases among students. As of Sept. 1, 26,857 tests have been conducted with students, including 650 positive tests and 26,196 negative tests.
