North Campus Parking Impact Slated for May 12

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 11, 2017) — On Friday, May 12, the University of Kentucky will be hosting high school sophomores and juniors and their families for the May Day Open House. Due to the influx in visitors, those who park in the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) should expect an increase in visitors parking in the facility on Friday, May 12, and plan accordingly. However, the impact is expected to be minimized due to the reduced campus population and the fact that Transportation Services is currently operating under summer parking control, granting permit holders more flexibility.

In the unlikely event that the South Limestone Garage is at capacity on Friday, employee permit holders may park in any employee (E) area. Those in the immediate vicinity include the Coliseum Lot, the Reynolds Lot, the Scott Street Lot and the Taylor-Dickey Lot. Summer permit holders may park in summer-controlled areas, including the Reynolds Lot, the Scott Street Lot and the Taylor-Dickey Lot.

Students and employees who park in other north campus lots should also anticipate possible increases in demand for parking in their preferred area, familiarize themselves with alternative parking options and plan their commute accordingly.
