LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 29, 2017) — Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) is the cable TV provider for many areas of the University of Kentucky. In recent weeks, Spectrum has contacted several departments on campus with a message similar to the one above. In 2010, approximately 700 devices were installed on campus by Time Warner Cable minimizing the risk of TV signal loss. In rare cases (e.g., where a TV has been plugged directly into a coaxial wall plate without a cable box), TV signal will be lost effective July 11.

For UK HealthCare (UKHC) cable installations, the UKHC Physical Plant Division is working with Spectrum to address any related concerns.

If you are contacted by Spectrum, please refer the representative to Clain Hendrix, UK Information Technology Services (ITS), at 859-257-6259 or ClainHendrix@uky.edu
