Transportation Services Announces Labor Day Bus Schedule Changes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 30, 2017) In observance of Labor Day, University of Kentucky Transportation Services will not operate most regular bus service on Monday, Sept. 4. This includes the Blue and White Routes (Lextran 14) and the Green Route Connector (Lextran 26), as well as the Orange Route (UK HealthCare Route) and the Pink Route (Kentucky Clinic Route).

To serve UK HealthCare employees and students who remain on campus, the On-Demand Night Bus will run from 7 p.m. until midnight on both Sunday, Sept. 3, and Monday, Sept. 4.

All bus service will return to normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 5. For route and schedule details, visit www.uky.edu/transportation/buses-and-shuttles_campus-shuttles.

As a reminder, all campus routes — as well as off-campus Lextran routes — are viewable in real time on TransLoc Rider, UK’s GPS-based bus locating system. TransLoc Rider can be accessed at http://uky.transloc.com and via the free TransLoc Rider Android and iPhone apps. Users should be sure to select both Lextran and the University of Kentucky under Current Transit Systems in order to include the Blue, White and Green Routes data on the app.
