LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 1, 2023) — As a University of Kentucky employee, you have access to exclusive discounts from a variety of vendors, merchants and providers across the state through the Employee Discount Program.

To use the program, employees must identify themselves when making a purchase by showing a valid UK picture ID or valid UK faculty/staff card and a valid driver's license or other picture ID.

Please note the following:

  • The university does not warrant any goods or services provided by any business participating in the Employee Discount Program.
  • Please remember this is your program and the Employee Benefits Committee is acting on your behalf in voluntary cooperation with all participating merchants.
  • Questions regarding the program, including vendor inquiries, may be addressed to djmart2@email.uky.edu.

With an emphasis on an employee-centric culture, the university’s focus on benefits and overall employee well-being has helped the university earn recognition as a “Great College to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education for five consecutive years. UK was also recently ranked No. 6 on the 2023 list of America's Best Employers by Forbes.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
