UK Is Part of Lexington Global Entrepreneurship Week

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 4, 2011) — The University of Kentucky's Office of Commercialization and Economic Development, along with other partners, is participating in Lexington Global Entrepreneurship Week Nov. 14-20. The public is invited to join Lexington Mayor Jim Gray to kick off the week of events and activities at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Base 163 on the third 3rd floor of 163 E. Main St.

"Thinking Outside the Box for Success" is the theme of a special luncheon Thursday, Nov. 17, where local and regional entrepreneurs will talk about how they "thought outside the box" in starting their companies.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and investors and enjoy a free lunch. This takes place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Commerce Lexington, 330 E. Main St. in Lexington. Space is limited. Please RSVP by clicking here.

Lori, a Kentucky native and graduate of the UK School of Architecture, will share her entrepreneurial journey of how she started her New York City based social networking company.
