UK Police Issue Crime Bulletin After Robbery Report Near Campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2018) —  The University of Kentucky Police Department issued the following UK Crime Bulletin, Monday, Sept. 17.

In the interest of safety, University of Kentucky Police Department has issued a Crime Bulletin for the UK community.

It has been reported that at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018, a robbery occurred on the sidewalk between Two Keys Tavern and Tin Roof.  The two victims reported that they left Two Keys Tavern and were attacked by three individuals on the sidewalk.  In the attack, the victims sustained minor injuries and several items were taken.  The suspects were described as a black male, approximately 5’6” with a thin build and shaved head, wearing a light colored polo; a black male, approximately 6’5” with dreadlocks, wearing a light blue polo; and a Hispanic female. 

University of Kentucky Police Department has issued this Crime Bulletin for the UK Community in compliance with the “Timely Notice” provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998.

  • Park in well-lit areas when possible.
  • Turn over any requested items (purse, wallet, etc).
  • Make statements with authority – “BACK-OFF! STOP! NO-WAY!” You deserve to be respected.
