LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 28, 2016) —  The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship, part of the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics, is bringing back its popular Lunch and Learn Series with three programs over the coming weeks. All Lunch and Learn events are hosted in the UK Venture Studio, Room 124 in the Gatton College building. There is no cost to attend any of the sessions, scheduled for April 6 (all spaces already filled), April 18, and May 3, but advance registration is required. The April 18 and May 3 events still have spaces available and are open to the public as well as university students, staff, and faculty members.

  • April 6 (sold out) – Josh Konowe, a 1996 UK graduate, entrepreneur and chief product officer of Canvas.
  • May 3 (space still available) – Bryce Butler, Gatton College adjunct instructor, who is teaching an introductory course on social entrepreneurship.

"The Lunch and Learn programs are a great opportunity for UK students, staff, faculty, and Lexington community members to learn more about entrepreneurship,” said Mariam Gorjian, commercialization specialist in the Von Allmen Center. “This is a wonderful chance for people to network and meet others in Lexington’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
