LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 21, 2014) -- The University of Kentucky Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center has planned a number of events related to national Stalking Awareness Month, including a brown bag discussion for faculty and staff.

Look. Books.

8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Now through Jan. 31

@VIP Center

Please NOT quiet is the only sign you'll see up in the VIP Center's learning/lending library. This isn't your typical silent stroll through the stacks - here you will gain resources to speak out about stalking. We've pulled some titles from our shelves to help guide you through an interactive journey to explore more about stalking and self-care/self-awareness. Because we strongly believe you should never leave a library empty handed, you'll have plenty of things to check out

Other Spring events that are planned include:

Jeans for Justice

Noon-1 p.m. Friday, April 18

Much more than an event, Jeans for Justice encourages all campus community members to wear jeans on Friday, April 18, in a visible protest of all forms of power-based personal violence. Together, we are visually stating that no one deserves to be harmed, no matter who they are, what they are doing, where they are, or what they are wearing. Participate in this international campaign to demonstrate support for survivors and intolerance for violence. The Jeans for Justice rally will include music, speakers, food, and prizes.
