Volunteers Take Student Questions
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2011) — It’s not too late to volunteer for the Ask an Advisor program organized by the Office of Residence Life , a division of University of Kentucky Student Affairs.
Scheduled to take place today and Tuesday, Feb. 22, this popular campus community event brings university staff and faculty into one-on-one encounters with students living in the residence halls.
Volunteers will visit with students, sharing basic tips and general information about the university’s student services. Because student services are constantly developing and evolving, an orientation dinner is scheduled for the volunteers at 5:30 p.m., with an informational program from 7 to 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, Feb. 22, volunteers will be assigned to dining spots across campus between the times of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. so that students may drop by with questions. Volunteers will be working in two-hour shifts, and lunch will be provided for the volunteers at the location to which they are assigned.
