Wildcat Wheels Fall 2017 Semester-Long Bike Lottery Now Open
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 24, 2017) — The lottery for fall semester bicycle checkout from the nationally recognized Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Library (WWBL) is now open. Wildcat Wheels has a fleet of 100 bicycles that can be checked out at no cost for a full semester at a time. Since demand for these bikes often exceeds supply, distribution of the bikes is handled through a random lottery.
The lottery is open to all University of Kentucky students, staff and faculty. To submit your name for the bicycle lottery, visit www.uky.edu/sustainability/wildcat-wheels.
Wildcat Wheels — located on the ground floor of Blazer Dining — also has bicycles that may be checked out by students and employees free of charge on a weekly basis, as well as bicycles available for departmental use.
In addition to the bicycle library, WWBL also operates a free, education-based bike shop that is open five days a week to assist the campus community with bicycle maintenance and repair. Wildcat Wheels is funded by University of Kentucky Transportation Services.
