Wildcat Wheels Fall 2017 Semester-Long Bike Lottery Now Open

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 24, 2017) The lottery for fall semester bicycle checkout from the nationally recognized Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Library (WWBL) is now open. Wildcat Wheels has a fleet of 100 bicycles that can be checked out at no cost for a full semester at a time. Since demand for these bikes often exceeds supply, distribution of the bikes is handled through a random lottery.

The lottery is open to all University of Kentucky students, staff and faculty. To submit your name for the bicycle lottery, visit www.uky.edu/sustainability/wildcat-wheels.

Wildcat Wheels — located on the ground floor of Blazer Dining — also has bicycles that may be checked out by students and employees free of charge on a weekly basis, as well as bicycles available for departmental use.

In addition to the bicycle library, WWBL also operates a free, education-based bike shop that is open five days a week to assist the campus community with bicycle maintenance and repair. Wildcat Wheels is funded by University of Kentucky Transportation Services.
