UK Higher Education Professor Featured in Inside Higher Ed

LEXINGTON, Ky (July 16, 2012) — John Thelin, professor of higher education and public policy in the University of Kentucky College of Education, has an essay currently featured in Inside Higher Ed, discussing the benefits and challenges associated with online learning in public higher education.

According to Thelin, online education is the latest in a long succession of teaching innovations that are fueled by both technological and social changes.

"In other words, online education is very much part of higher education’s heritage," he says.
