Service Temporarily Suspended on Some Campus Bus Routes
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 7, 2020) — Certain University of Kentucky bus routes are no longer available now. Beginning Tuesday, April 7, the bi-directional campus Blue and White Routes (Route 14), and the Green Route will be suspended through the remainder of the spring semester and the summer school session. The Orange Route (UK HealthCare) will continue to operate during this period.
The weekend Yellow Route is also not running at this time. These changes were made as a result of significantly decreased ridership during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the university’s subsequent move to online classes.
Campus transit needs will continue to be monitored throughout the spring and summer, and services will be added as the university returns to normal operations.
If you have questions about campus transit services, have special campus transportation needs or if you need additional information, please email UK Transportation Services or call the office at 859-257-5757. As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
