UK Hoops Escapes Hampton in Overtime; Advances to Second Round
No. 17/16 Kentucky used overtime to defeat 13th-seeded Hampton 66-62 in a first round matchup in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the second round for the second consecutive season. Keyla Snowden led the Wildcats with 19 points and Victoria Dunlap notched her ninth double-double of the season and 31st of her career with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kentucky will face fifth-seeded and No. 14 North Carolina in the second round Monday with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line.
