Exhibition to celebrate a transformative year in the Gray Design Building
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 5, 2025) —The University of Kentucky invites the public to experience “Full Spectrum: A Year in the Making in the College of Design and Landscape Architecture,” a dynamic exhibition commemorating the first full academic year inside the Gray Design Building.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of student work created since the College of Design and the Department of Landscape Architecture moved into the Gray Design Building last spring. From drawings and digital visualization to physical models, prototypes and installations, Full Spectrum celebrates the diverse creative output generated by students who have spent the past year immersed in an environment purpose-built for innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
“This exhibition of student work represents the energy and quality of thought that emerge when creative disciplines come together under one roof,” College of Design Dean Ned Crankshaw said. “It’s a testament to the collective growth of imagination that is possible when students share their ideas in a collaborative space. You can feel the difference in the space, and it becomes visible in the work.”
An opening reception for the exhibition will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, on the first floor of the Gray Design Building. The exhibition will take place throughout the gallery and public spaces of the Gray Design Building, offering visitors an immersive glimpse into the learning, making and designing that have defined this landmark year.
“Full Spectrum” will be on display until September.
