LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 24, 2026) — DanceBlue, the University of Kentucky’s largest student-run philanthropy benefiting the Golisano Children’s at UK DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic, will host DB Loves You Week Feb. 23-27. This week serves as a final fundraising effort while recognizing the students, families and supporters who make DanceBlue’s mission possible.

Throughout the week, UK students are encouraged to participate in tabling opportunities and fundraising initiatives across campus. These activities allow participants to earn spirit points and dancer incentives while also supporting DanceBlue’s yearlong efforts to raise funds for children and families receiving care at the clinic.

As the fundraising deadline approaches, DanceBlue also invites members of the campus and Lexington communities to contribute. Community support plays a critical role in advancing DanceBlue’s mission, and every donation directly benefits pediatric patients and their families.

DB Loves You Week celebrates the heart of the DanceBlue community and demonstrates how student involvement and generous giving come together to support children and families at the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

DanceBlue is a student-run philanthropy at the University of Kentucky dedicated to supporting the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Golisano Children’s at UK. Inspired by Jarrett Mynear’s final request to “do something to help the clinic,” DanceBlue raises funds and awareness year-round in the fight against pediatric cancer, providing care and support for patients and their families. More than $25 million has been raised since 2006, making DanceBlue one of the largest student-run philanthropies in the Southeastern Conference. As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
