UK Human Resources, UK Alumni Association to Host Recalculating: Career Direction After 50 Workshop
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 3, 2015) — Thursday, Nov. 5, the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and UK Human Resources Staff Career Development will host a workshop focused on individuals over the age of 50 who are seeking more significance, excitement and purpose in their lives.
The workshop will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the James W. Stuckert Career Center (408 Rose St., Lexington).
The workshop — Recalculating: Career Direction After 50 — is perfect for those considering encore retirement careers or volunteer opportunities, or looking to pursue something more in-line with their passion and interests.
The workshop will:
- Review current labor market conditions and data regarding predictions for job seekers 50 plus
- Share inspiring stories of people who have shifted gears and changed course after 50
- Invite participants to identify, update and reflect upon their goals and values
- Give participants strategies and resources to redraw their roadmap
The workshop will be facilitated by Diane Kohler, manager of UK Human Resources Staff Career Development and Caroline Francis with UK Alumni Career Services.

The cost of registration is $10 for UK Alumni Association members and UK employees and $15 for nonmembers.
