Work-Life Supervisor of the Year is Jody Ensman

LEXINGTON, Ky (Nov. 2, 2009) – Jody Ensman, University of Kentucky Health & Wellness Program manager, was named the Work-Life Supervisor of the Year. The award is given to one supervisor each year who is highly regarded by his or her employees for consistently supporting the work-life needs of employees.

Ensman was among nearly 50 UK supervisors nominated for qualities such as enhancing the quality of Work-Life, being fair and consistent, and treating others with dignity and respect.

In addition to Ensman, the second annual Work-Life Supervisor of the Year Award Luncheon recognized all supervisors who are known for promoting work-life initiatives at UK. Honorable mention went to four top finalists:

-- Tim Armstrong, hospital engineer and maintenance supervisor, Medical Center Physical Plant

-- Tracy Steele, outpatient physical therapist/occupational therapist supervisor

-- Stephanie Haynes Ratliff, program coordinator, Center on Alcohol and Drug Research

-- Jeff Stringer, professor, Department of Forestry, College of Agriculture
