Addiction Conference Looks Toward 2020

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 20, 2010) − "Health Services and Medical Innovations for the Next Decade" is the theme of the 2010 Addiction Health Services Research (AHSR) Conference, taking place Oct. 25-27 at the Hilton in downtown Lexington.

The conference is sponsored by the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Department of Behavioral Science, UK Center on Drug and Alcohol Research and UK Bell Alcohol and Addictions Chair. It is coordinated by UK HealthCare CECentral.

AHSR welcomes practitioners and policymakers who are interested in health services research related to drug and alcohol dependence. Through plenary speakers, symposia, and a poster session, AHSR provides opportunities for sharing recent research findings, discussing opportunities to improve the quality of addiction health services, and networking with colleagues.

The AHSR conference has traditionally had excellent attendance by senior researchers, new investigators, and funders of addiction health services research.
