Rock out at Karaoke Night

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 14, 2011) - Come prepared to sing your heart out at Karaoke Night! Join SAB on Tuesday Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. in the Cats Den and sing along to all your favorite songs. This event is free and sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Karaoke is interactive entertainment that allows students the chance to sing along to their favorite recorded music. And don’t worry about forgetting the words because the lyrics to the songs are displayed on screen. There are over 100 songs from most  musical genres for students to choose to sing along with .

“Karaoke Night was a big hit last semester so we’re bringing it back this semester as well. I love seeing students not afraid to get on stage and sing and sometimes you’re really shocked by people’s unexpected talent.” said Derek Operle, director of SAB Pop Culture Committee.

The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually.  These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
