Learn About Sexual Health at 'The Female Orgasm'
(LEXINGTON, Ky.) Feb.11, 2013 — How much do you know about the female orgasm? An event named "The Female Orgasm" will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in Memorial Hall. This event is free and sponsored by the University of Kentucky Student Activities Board in collaboration with the UK Sexperts.
The Female Orgasm is aimed at engaging students in discussions about sexual health, a topic that is often considered taboo and is misunderstood. Female Orgasm uses “a playful, honest approach” to bring a lighthearted, conversational tone to the event, which encompasses topics from body image to sexual health. Attendees will be able to ask their own questions at the event.
“Sexual health is not something to be embarrassed about,” said Sydney Dobson, SAB director of engaging issues. “We hope to make sexual health something that anyone can talk about and a topic that students are aware of.”
Female Orgasm is inclusive of all genders and all sexual orientations. Sexual health bags will also be handed out at the event.
SAB brings more than 100 entertaining educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
