Tour Your New Kentucky Home With SAB

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 2, 2015) — Join University of Kentucky Student Activity Board’s Campus Life Committee for LexHop and take a trip to Keeneland and the Kentucky Horse Park 11 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20. Students can visit Keeneland before racing season starts and learn more about the Kentucky Horse Industry.

Lunch will be provided and attendees will have a chance to taste traditional Kentucky appetizers like Kentucky Beer Cheese. There will also be a trolley ride around the Horse Park and shows that are provided by the Horse Park that will showcase the history of the horse industry.

“I have grown up in Lexington and I am so excited to share this city and the rich history with others,” said Jill Marks, SAB director of campus life. “Lexington is a beautiful city and most students don’t get to see it because they don’t have many opportunities to leave campus.”

Tickets are $5 and available at the Bowman’s Den Ticket Office.

SAB brings more than 60 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.
