PTS, SGA Offer Free Holiday Shopping Shuttle

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 5, 2013) ―‘Tis the season to do some holiday shopping! University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services (PTS), in conjunction with Student Government Association, is providing a transportation option to simplify holiday shopping for students. The groups will provide free shuttle service between campus and Fayette Mall Sunday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

The shuttle will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each Sunday, with daily campus pick-up times of 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Passengers will be picked up at the north side of the mall, near the entrance to Macy’s, at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and returned to campus.

To schedule a pick-up (limited to campus only), email the following information with the subject “Holiday Shopping Shuttle” to UKBuses@lsv.uky.edu by noon Friday, Dec. 6 or Friday, Dec. 13, respectively.

A PTS representative will email to confirm a pick-up time and convenient location.

Riders can track the Holiday Shopping Shuttle via Cat Tracker, PTS’ real-time GPS-based bus locating system at http://uky.transloc.com or with the free Transloc iPhone, Android and BlackBerry apps.
