Caroling With the Cats
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 8, 2015) — Christmas carol with the Cats this year! Volunteer positions for gift making today as well as caroling at Sayre Christian Village on Dec. 10 are now open! Join the University of Kentucky's Young at Heart as they spread Holiday cheer to older adults living in the Sayre retirement community.
There are two dates available to volunteer for this event. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for Crafting for Caroling with the Cats to make small gifts for the residents of Sayre Christian Village. The gifts will be given out during the Caroling with the Cats event, which is also open for volunteers. Caroling with the Cats will take place Thursday, Dec. 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During Caroling with the Cats, carolers will go from hallway to hallway singing Christmas carols to residents and delivering the gifts provided by Young at Heart. Transportation will be available for volunteers.
