LEXINGTON, Ky (July 29, 2025) — Recently, the University of Kentucky expanded paid parental and elder care leave for eligible employees. Have you ever wondered how and when to use your FML (Family Medical Leave) leave for those situations? Do you know the difference between TDL (sick leave) and FML?
Join UK Human Resources for “Family Medical Leave Basics for Parental and Elder Care” at noon Tuesday, Aug. 12, via Zoom.
UK increased paid parental leave from two to four weeks and paid elder care leave from one to two weeks. This workshop will walk attendees through the criteria for staff and faculty to utilize elder care leave, parental leave and Family Medical Leave.
